2026 Public Interest Environmental Law Conference (PIELC)
The PIELC focuses on public‑interest environmental law, bringing together legal advocates, scientists, activists, and community members to advance environmental and social justice. Its core mission is to share strategies, build movements, and confront threats to environmental protections.
A big thank you to Cascadia Wildland for allowing us to table with them in years prior. Oakridge Strong/Save TV Butte was proud to have its very own table, right next to Cascadia, at the PIELC this year.
This year we continued to spread the details of the Save TV Butte movement and what Oakridge Strong and the movement have been up to lately. We brought plenty of props like photos of TV Butte from various areas of Oakridge, some schematics of the proposed quarry from the Old Hazeldell application, details about the upcoming Oakridge Rocks the Park event, and of course gave out our signature Oakridge Strong/Save TV Butte stickers.
We met and spoke with so many great people and voices in the environmental community, such as Central Oregon Land Watch, Climate Justice League, Sierra Club, Upper Willamette Soil & Water Conservation District, Protect Lane County Watershed, and more!
We signed up a great group of new subscribers, and if you are new to the Oakridge Strong subscriber list, THANK YOU so much for being a part of our group!!!
We will be sure to keep you updated on all things Save TV Butte, as well as any venture that Oakridge Strong assists with in the future.
Thank you to the PIELC for allowing Oakridge Strong/Save TV Butte be part of your event!
